Bryn-y-Gof

With lime-washed stone walls, beautiful beamed ceilings and stunning oak floors, Bryn-y-Gof is a traditional Welsh holiday cottage with character and charm. Restored to the highest standard, it retains the wonderful character of this beautiful historic building. The antique oak and pine have been painstakingly restored, giving the cottage a cosy, warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout.

In the lounge, a large inglenook fireplace features a cosy woodburing stove. A widescreen smart digital TV, DVD player, CD/docking station and free Wi-Fi access are provided. For those who need to work, there is also a separate desk with study lamp.

With beautiful oak worktops, a quarry tiled floor, beamed ceiling, ceramic top cooker, fridge, microwave, antique table and chairs, the kitchen diner offers the perfect setting for enjoying quality time together.

An antique oak staircase leads up to the large galleried bedroom. Please note that this staircase is steeper than normal and therefore unsuitable for those with limited mobility - please read more about accessibility below or call us if you need advice.

The light and airy bedroom has a stunning beamed ceiling, antique style king-size  bed, a luxurious roll-top slipper bath by the fire, and a TV. There is a separate en-suite shower room (step down from bedroom) with a power shower. You can even watch foxes and rabbits play (not together of course!) in the field adjacent to the bed.

The cottage has central heating and all furnishings are either new or beautiful antiques. Outside is a large, well furnished private patio with lovely views across the countryside. Sit and listen to the sound of the stream in the beautiful wooded valley below, listen to the abundant birdlife or wander through our seven-acre meadow.

Accessibility. Built circa 1900 the cottage has not been designed with wheelchair access. There are steps down from main patio to the entrance door. 2 More steps from hall into lounge. The staircase is steeper pitch than normal and therefore not suitable for the infirm. There is also a step down from bedroom into the shower room.
